On 18 December 2018, the residents of Thimphu and other places received first snowfall of 2018. They had full day to go out and enjoy rare moments with their family, friends and loved ones. The white flakes didn’t stop for whole day. It was indeed a happy day for many farmers as well. They believe the harvest next year would be bountiful with the snowfall this year.
While my kids had fun with snow, I waited for the weather to improve. I was eager to see the whole valley under white sheets of snow. It was very unlikely. The day was ending. I just made up my mind and headed out in the snow. It wasn’t a pleasant weather to take photographs with heavy mists all around. I waited more than two hours just to capture the right moment.
It paid off my efforts with this beautiful evening crimson skies and brightly lit Tashichhodzong. I called my snowy day off. I hoped for the best opportunity the next morning.
